I love working with others, here's some of the people I work with....
What to expect
I can teach a range of foraging courses, though out the year showing you the best of each season. I trained as a school teacher so can accommodate, beginners and those more advanced on my walks.
Here's what to expect
Spring will have us looking at lush green wild vegetables and leaves, with the odd mushroom if were lucky.
Summer we will either be at the coast looking at sea greens such as Samphire or in land looking at summer fruits, edible flowers, summer greens and if its a wet summer early autumn mushrooms.
Autumn is my favourite season to forage, with its juicy berries, flavourful seeds, and of course fungi hunting.
Each walk will start with an introduction to my foraging journey and you will have a chance to share yours (Its totally fine if you've only foraged your food from Sainsburys).
We will then play a little game to show you what to look for when identifying a plant or mushroom, which will help you as we go on the walk to spot the edible from the toxic and make a memorable connection with the plants and fungi you like the most. This will then help you after the course when you begin your foraging journey.
On the walk we well see so many edible and toxic species I will talk through their identifying features to help you spot them and remember them, then their edible, medicinal or practical uses and I might even have a little homemade taster for you too.
After the walk we will have a little follow up (or and epic lunch if its a feast event) and then you'll receive and email from me post even with a list of the things we found on the walk and a little bit of info on each one.
